Can you please guys suggest me which kind of soil one should use for planting these kind of vegetable plants ?

Once I’ve harvested all the tomatoes, should I uproot the plant and plant from seeds again, or should I continue growing the tomato plant and it will produce more harvest?

My dad had this tomato plant and it had a auto watering system but a part of the system broke so it slowly water. It was just a drop a second and at the end of the summer the plant looked like a tree.

I'm guessing at least 2 week, or when they root? I'm going to try during winter, in the bay area. Would 4-6 hour direct sunlight be ok?
