Lime for grubs instead of pesticides?

Our neighbor uses lime on his grass for grub control instead of pesticides. He says it's expensive and I haven't priced it out yet. We use Scott's grub control in the spring and sometimes in the fall too. Our area where we live has grub problems and they completely decimated our front lawn when we first moved in so now we're always on guard.

Has anyone tried lime? Was it successful or did you go back to the other stuff?
Lime is good for killing Grubs as it is excellent method as far as I know. I would suggest you give a try to check it whether works or not. So far I heard Lime worked for many people in lawn and hoping the same will happen to you.
I haven't tried, but will let you know from my friends whether they did it for lawn or not.
