landscape planning

Have any of you ever got paid for landscape planning at all? My girlfriend actually makes landscape plans and gets paid for them. It isn't her main job but every now and then, a few landscape companies pay her to do it. I keep trying to get her to try to turn it into some kind of part-time job.
