"My preference is for plants that prefer to be left alone! I'm all about perennials and self-seeders.
Asparagus: A bit of work to establish, but then it comes back every year for 20 years with minimal effort.
Rhubarb: Same deal. It's a beast that just needs dividing every so often.
Cherry Tomatoes: I let a few fall and rot each year, and now I have volunteer plants that pop up every spring without me doing a thing.
Herbs: Oregano, mint, and chives. Once they're in, they're in forever. Sometimes too much so! ?
If a plant needs coddling, staking, or daily attention, it's not for me."
