How to grow Bottlegourd on Terrace?

I am looking to grow Bottlegourd on my Terrace, could someone advice me how to start for growing 2 to 3 plants and how long does it survive?

You need a container that is at least two feet deep. You can use your gardening soil, but need to add a lot of organic matter to your soil. If possible add peat moss to your soil. Your container needs a hole on the bottom for drainage. You need to place the container where it gets at least 6 hours of sunlight
