Plants can help the air quality. When the air is better, we breathe better. Which in turn helps reduce stress & anxiety. There's also something to be said about taking care of another living thing. A plant needs to be watered, fertilized, even talking to it can help the plant grow & help you in the process.

I totally agree—plants can really improve air quality and reduce stress. Here in India, most people keep rubber plants, snake plants, money plants, and peace lilies. They’re hardy, easy to care for, and great for indoors. Taking care of them—watering, occasional fertilizing, or just rearranging them—can be surprisingly relaxing and rewarding.
