I do not have garden soil. I have vermicompost and cocopit. Can I grow plants in them?

I started a very small raised garden and I do not know what I should be doing once I get the seeds planted into the ground. For example, if I see grass growing in my garden, should I pull it out as soon as I see it ? Also, should I ever spray food into the soil?

Is it necessary to do transplant while growing Brinjal? Is there a way where we can grow it directly in one pot...like from germination to harvest...?

Can we use simple paper for germinating seeds instead of tissue paper? As I don't have tissue paper now at home.

my jasmine variant which is little bushy and very well flowering is infested with ants and visibly I cannot see any mealy bugs around the stem or leaves neither any aphids..only once I could see a honeydew sort of thing on the stem..can you suggest??
