When Spring comes around or do they mix into the soil?
Posted by: Annies - 11-09-2022, 07:38 PM - Forum: Gardening - Replies (2)

Silly question, but if we cover your gardens with wood chips to protect and preserve them over the winter, we need to somehow remove and shovel up the wood chips when Spring comes around or do they mix into the soil?

Works and the possible toxicity related to this?
Posted by: Annies - 11-09-2022, 07:20 PM - Forum: pesticides - Replies (2)

I found out that in button mushroom production, the medium that they will be grown on is prepared by adding formaldehyde and bavastin (a fungicide). Could someone give me an overview of how this works and the possible toxicity related to this?

  Gardening Goals Winter 2022
Posted by: shilparamam - 11-09-2022, 03:48 AM - Forum: Gardening - Replies (5)

What are your goals in this winter season and how you maintain it? I have my own goals, but don't know due to more cool temperature for coming true.
I want to plant tomato plants as much as I can along with spinach, mint and beans.

  Will it hurt my garden??
Posted by: Annies - 11-03-2022, 07:08 AM - Forum: Soil - Replies (6)

I have an area of the garden where I throw kitchen scraps and occasionally some dirty, its under the trees. I wonder if the decomposed stuff on the bottom of that now, about 3 feet tall pile, is good for anything. I know its packed with earthworms. Will it hurt my garden is I got some of the stuff from the bottom of it and place by my plants?
